Mark is qualified as both a solicitor and a Registered Trade Mark Attorney. He spent six years at one of the world's largest law firms and joined FFW in 2000.

Mark has wide experience in all aspects of IP, both contentious and non-contentious, with a particular emphasis on trade marks and designs. His practice now focuses almost exclusively on brand protection, exploitation and enforcement, both in the UK and globally. Mark sits on the International Trademark Association (INTA) Information Resources Committee and is a member of both the European Community Trademark Association (ECTA) and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA). He received the first Adrian Spencer Award presented by ITMA and tutors examination revision courses for both JDD and ITMA .
