France is qualified as an Avocat (1994), as a French Trade Mark Attorney (2001) and as a Solicitor (2004). She read Law at the University of Montpellier where she obtained a postgraduate degree in Business Law (DJCE-DESS de Juriste d'Affaires). France also took a LL.M. at the University of Edinburgh and obtained a postgraduate degree in Industrial Property (CEIPI) in 1999. She has been practising Intellectual Property (both contentious and non contentious) for the last 9 years in Paris (for an IP boutique which merged with an international law firm and then for an English law firm) before moving to London and joining Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP's Trade Mark and Brand Protection Group in January 2003. France has extensive experience advising a number of high profile companies in relation to the protection and exploitation of their IP rights. She is currently appointed as one of the visiting lecturers in the post graduate Intellectual Property course at the University of Montpellier and also as one of the visiting lecturers in the LL.M. in Intellectual Property Litigation at Nottingham Law School.
